First, to clarify. It’s a wetland woodland, it’s not a wet walk…or at least, it’s not so wet at this season (in fact, we’re in drought here).
Monday 26th August, bus across the marshes to Acle, then head to Damgate Carr. Our destination is a couple of old mills out in the marshes (but more of that next week).

Damgate Carr is a good place to find fungi. But not in this drought. Well, that’s what we say as we’re walking along…then we’re proved wrong…
