Alas, my fungi archives are empty, and so this must be the last of the Friday Fungi feature (until autumn). That’s not to say the occasional fungus won’t sneak into the Sunday or Tuesday posts. So please do enjoy these shots from Smockmill Common, 28th November 2022

It’s always good when I find fungi is colours other than “mushroom”

Talk about going out with a bang. I cannot help but marvel at the selection you manage to come across. I’m going to have to learn to pay closer attention (in season, of course).
Thank you for this wonderful series.

What gorgeous images you’ve captured! I missed your fungi photos while I was out sick, and am so glad to have come back in time to see this one before they are paused for the season. Given that outside my own door, everything is brown and covered with snow, these colorful nature shots are a lovely reminder of warmer times.
Is the mushroom in that fourth shot really that lavender in real life? How striking!

Hi Joy. Yes, that lavender fungus really is that colour. I get excited when I find fungi outside the common range of colours.

Always my pleasure. My fav fungi is one of similar species but in turquoise-green. Really very unique
