An hour before sunrise and yesterday’s heat created a muggy mist which now lay heavy over the tranquil sea. In the far distance, lights and the thrum of a ship’s engine. This was surely a test for my camera. Truly, I nearly missed the boat.

For his birthday I bought him a yacht. He sailed away without saying goodbye.

Gorleston Cliff: 27 Aug 2021
Slowly – or not so slowly – the sea nibbles at the land. And these cliffs, being of loosely compacted sand, crumble and fall. This photo shows that crumble in process, with the bushes previously growing atop the cliff now sliding down.
