One should think one would be pleased that the weeds and not the flowers are being eaten!

Goats are demonised because apparently they’ll eat anything, including old boots and your gardening jacket. But it’s not (entirely) true. They prefer the sweet and succulent flowers and veggies in your garden/field. Then the grass and sweet leaves. And only if nothing else will they go for what we’d consider inedible. But put them in a pasture lush with nettles and thistles than neither cattle nor sheep will touch, and they do crop rather efficiently.
My grandma kept a goat. This time of year it feasted on cowslips and left the nettles

I had to come back once Nancy straightened me out- Some time I am so thick headed! Crispina! this little gem is just bursting with ‘easter eggs’ for the reader- but don’t tell the goats! heheheh

Thank you, Violet. I was later than usual writing this one because I was processing the thousands of photos I’d taken on Friday (you have to wait until Sunday next [17th] to see them) but I’d had more time to compose in my head, hence… you know. Then I couldn’t find the photo I wanted but got there in the end
