Mother went to the glistening sea
To milk the water dwelling glistening bees
She used the bee-milk to make the strongest glistening rum
And if you think this all hokum
You won’t be wrong

That’s indeed all hokum. Nice poem and great use of the word! 👍

Thank you. Not my first thoughts on it, but I woke in the night with ‘sea bees’ in my head

You’re most welcome. Sea bees are tiny underwater pollinators that move pollen.

I’d use the “bee-milk” to make mead, myself. So, yeah, hokum . . . as intended! 🙂
I saw a bee upon a flower.
Its mighty stinger made me cower.
It gathered honey by the sac,
And gave the flower’s pollen back,
And so it proved its flower power!
