This isn’t our first visit to Whitlingham Country Park, in fact it’s a favourite. But we usually time our visits to capture the gold and copper of autumn, and the blooming of an amazing variety of fungi. But with the sun putting on such a show, we went for the light!
Took this view from both sides of the gate. This one works best
May isn’t May without May Blossom (hawthorn) and this is such a delicate pink
Light at its most beautiful is best viewed from the shade!
Look! A heron in hiding
Whitlingham Park is beside the Yare which is part of the Broads’ Cruisers holiday region
Loving the play of light and shade
Looking over the lake… from the shade
And here’s a sight to treasure always
So many yellow flags in bloom just now (wild form of native iris) but it’s the blue of the water attracts me more
And a final shot. Hope you enjoyed

Wonderfully vibrant green pictures.

Thank you, Joanne. We’ve not had much rain of late, but this was taken last month, when we’d had plenty rain! 🙂

Thank you, Sadje. It’s a beautiful place, though best timed when the local schools aren’t running outings to here, as happened this day 🙂

I like “painting with light.” I’ll try to remember that and follow your example.

Some days the light shouts at you, says “forget the details, look what I’m doing”
