9th December, temperature isn’t sub-zero but the wind is keen. You might like to wear thermals. No bus to catch, we’re walking out of town. Which means we catch the sun rise.
The confluence of Bure and Yare, and the town in darkness beyond
Breydon Bridge… it has become iconic
And Breydon Water lies ahead
And behind us…
It’s called the golden hour for a reason. BTW that’s a puddled path, it’s not a stream
Breydon’s grazing marshes…
For a while now this is our route
Birds are everywhere but too distant for me to get good focus, even with zoom (they keep moving!)
One of the farms along the way
There is a road across the marsh, private but locals walk it. Here the weather’s turned
For me, this is iconic of our grazing marshes
We arrive at the Queen’s Head (pub) Burgh Castle. We’re going to head up to the Roman fort where the views are amazing…
I don’t know if I’ll get a walk in next week so I’m holding the rest of the photos in case. Hope you enjoyed
Always love to see the world from your point of view!

Don’t you get enough of my photos on Twitter? But I suppose here there’s more of a narrative. Thank you, Rie 🙂
