   Nicely written! I can totally relate to the heat wave. Good thing is that it’s about to end as autumn comes. 👍☺️

     I think here we’ve seen the last of it, though temps remain higher than seasonal norms. But not going to complain about that!

       Same here, the temps are higher than normal, and it’s expected to reach 36°C during the next week. Not complaining either! But, last year, we reached 45°C, and rolling blackouts were worse (we only had 1 hour of power per almost 12 hours), which was torturous.

       That is one thing we’ve not had to deal with. And living on the coast, I haven’t caught the worst of it. Phew!

       Very good. This summer, there were very short rolling blackouts, but most of the time the power is on, so we were able to stay cool properly. This summer is better than last year!

       Ah, you have air conditioning, so the power demand is higher in summer. Very few people in UK have air conditioning. Which is why the heat waves hit us so hard

       I agree, power demand is indeed higher. But, we weren’t able to turn it on all the time, because of high electricity bills. I hope the next summer is better for the UK. 🙏

       It’s mostly because of this current el nino, the worst since god knows when. It’ll hit us again next year but haps not so fierce

     Thank you. If it was nicely hot I’d like it fine. But this summer has been like living in an overheated sauna. And though we Brits complained of it, I know other areas had it worse
