Another day of dismal grey
Nothing other since that fateful day
When that intergalactic object made its flyby
Drew our sun’s plasmic teeth
Blasted Earth’s unprotected fragile feet
Volcanic eruptions
Seismic quakes
Climate screwed all to hell
More mournful than I can tell
43 words written for Sammi’s Weekend Writing Prompt: Mourn

Thankfully only in our fantasy. But it could have happened!

There was much talk about the potential as 3iAtlas came to its closest pass to the sun. There followed one of the most intense plasma ejections that resulted in several internet lapses, and wonderful Northern Lights. But nothing worse than that

I cannot see that anything especially good will ever come of space travel or the positioning of satellites/ space stations etc in space- but then again, I am not a very scientific thinker….

I used to argue that with all the satellites we launch, we must be causing an imbalance, and that can’t be good for our planet. But then we must set the material lost against the materials gained, not only the obvious meteorites but also high volumes of dust. So I guess it all balances out in the end.

One is left to wonder just how much we impact our home planet with all the junk we send out there!

That has long been my question. But, swings and roundabouts, look at how much we receive
