When I saw what Sammi had given us
I let out a yell
Made a fuss
Loud, strong and clear
And chock-full of asterisks
I begged our Lord’s pardon
For defiling his garden
Cos that’s where I was
Photographing our wonderful edifice
While phone’s in hand
Thought I’d check out the word
‘A voice notably loud, clear and resonant’
Wind was roaring louder than me
Snowflakes then beginning to fall
Hands, ever my coldest part
(Because I’ve a warm heart)
Were chuffing-well freezing
But, lamprophony
Nailed it!
87 words written for Sammi’s Weekend Writing Prompt: Lamprophony

What a perfect response! I love how it sounds instantaneous!

It was. I was composing it in my head as I walked home

Had to look this one up. But you’ve done it!

I couldn’t believe it when I looked it up, though I had worked it out as a possibility (you know my passion for words)

Great composition Crispina – I hear you loud and clear 🙂

Thank you. And it did occur, exactly as in the poem. I usually shop on a Saturday morning, and as I leave the shop I check out Sammi’s word. I can them compose in my head as I’m walking home.
