This Ancient Xylophone

2nd January 2022

Inrushing storm waves run to shore
Turning and tossing
Tumbling, raking, rearranging
No melody played on these ancient stones
Chinking and chiming
Never quite rhyming
Yet assuredly playing
A sibilant symphony
On this old xylophone
