Monday 5th May 2025 is May Day in UK. Here’s some of the photos I took that day on a walk through a wonderful woodland. Enjoy
You can’t have May Day without πΌ daisies and π½ May (hawthorn) blossoms
πΌ Wild cherries and π½ three-cornered garlic (often mistaken for the white form of bluebell) and β¬ ‘baby’ sycamore leaves
πΌ Bluebells, of course π½
π½ White butterfly resting for a brief spell on a bluebell
So, you focus, you click, and the dratted bird has turned its back on you. Before it turned, it was a robin! π½
I admit at this time of year I’m as obsessed with stitchwort as I am with bluebells πΌπ½β¬
Hope you enjoyed the looking as much as I enjoyed the walking and taking

Such beautiful pictures Crispina

Thank you, Sadje. I’m almost sad to see that stage of spring fade away ππ

Well I suppose your summer isnβt that hot so some flowers will survive?

I am so jealous! I want to see such a beautiful array of flowers! We’ve had a few rainy days, so maybe they are on their way.

Thank you, Andrea. Not every walk with the camera has a good yield but over the course of a year I’ve a feeling the heavy harvests win!
