CCC018: A Viking For To Go

He selected his toughest gear
Packed into his chest, some to wear
His chest upon his shoulder slung
Then down that hillside to the staithe he run
The ship was waiting
Slipping ropes
Soon departing
When with a nimble-footed leap
He was aboard and taken his seat
Amongst his former foe
A viking for to go

Well, I had to look staithe up- so there’s that.
Brilliant write. No proper Viking would refuse to board simple because his slated enemy was on board.
    Loved it!

Intriguing story, Crispina. Thanks for sharing the local history. I knew nothing about the Vikings.
