Sally’s Friend Saul

I said to Sally, I told her no
I wouldn’t go out again with her friend Saul.

But why ever not?
Saul’s a beautiful Scot.

Good upon eyes I don’t disagree
And looking in mirrors together
He looks good with me.

You are a match, Sally said.

In looks perhaps but not in our heads.
He talks and talks
He never stops when we’re out on walks
And basically he just talks shite
He’s a total blatherskite.

Alas, I’m afraid I’m one sometimes.
Then again, so are many of my friends.
(No, this is not directed at you.)
Of course, so are many of my enemies.
