16th August dawns loud with sun. What better day to walk alongside the estuary. Cooling breezes from the water…or so we hope! So, fill the water bottles and let’s go…

We stop to take a slug of water, and look back. What’s happened to the cooling breezes?

We’re trapped between grazing marshes and the water, it’s baking hot, and very humid

By tradition, this is cattle-grazing country, but of late horses have taken their places. These are rescued horses, a charity totally funded by public donation

Clouds are amassing. Are we to get rain? No matter, we’re ready to catch the bus home.Β It truly is the most humid conditions, clothes drenched.
