I’m so used to seeing the boats decked out in white & blue, or sometimes white & red. But yellow! Wow. The other thing was the registration. At Cromer, where this was taken, almost all boats are registered at Yarmouth (YH) but this one was Lowestoft (LT). And then there’s the twin hull. Not unusual in the bigger boats, but pretty unusual in one this size

Also a photo I haven’t shared…one of a fisherman sorting his catch. Those fish, tossed into ice while at sea, where horribly gritty with sand, and all tangled. Not looking at all appetising

I wonder if it’s any more difficult to go with yellow. That boat looks so cheery.

I’d have thought it more easily spotted at sea. Yet it seems blue, white or red are the norms. Not even any green!

Yea! Though the ones I see straight out of the sea tend more to a murky brown! 🙂

Lovely choice. Sunshine yellow is one of those colours that so easily fade in the sun.. This one is still a beauty, though!

Fibreglass, probably holds the colour better than paint on wood!

Mick used to say, while yellow on a car was nice, it was a waste of money because it faded quickly. On fiberglass, it’s probably different. That, and I imagine today’s paints are better…

Probably. As an art student I was taught that blue is a fugitive colour while yellow advances. But that wasn’t about pigments, it was just its effect in a composition

Yes. But fugitive colours spin my head, like garden escapees, I start constructing a story for them.
