Nature needs culling both of vegetation and animals. Otherwise the numbers overwhelm the resources.

Yes. Which is why I have a stack of loppings in one corner of the garden from when I severely pruned by philadelphus; and now more from cutting down an overgrown fig tree (it’ll grow again)

Thank you, Dale. Trees are our lungs, we should take more care of them. But at the same time, in some instances a little judicious felling keeps the greater organism in good health
