Details from Thursday’s walk… Part One
Butterbur. I’ve never seen it in flower this early. We passed it on the way back. Baked in the sun all day, it smelled divine!
It’s probably a cherry… but again, flowering very early
As for this… a garden escapee, has to be. It might be jasmine
Ivy berries
Mr Blue Tit… singing its heart out
Ode to a Tenacious Leaf!
Alder cones & catkins… love that tree
I swear, these are the cleanest cattle I have ever seen. Had to take a photo
Song thrush… singing
Goldfinch… not intentionally hiding
More tenacious leaves. Possibly field maple
Hazel catkins. Spring has arrived on the East Coast! (But winter can hit us at any time)
Hope these photos have helped to brighten your grey winter days. They certainly delighted me. More next week
Golly! So early!! Thanks for giving us hope (as we dig through a foot of snow…)

I know. But I also know that 2018 began this way. And then we had The Beast From The East with freezing winds and snows and floods

Ahhh… that is the danger of popping up so early!

The skies so blue, over here in Aus we’ve got flooding. It should be 40 C

We’ve had flooding too, but not as severe as last year. Hope you’re ok
