Lovely – especially those juicy blackberries reminded me of going blackberry picking when I was a child. The elderberries look good too it’s been over 15 years since I last made elderberry wine – I have to say it was a particularly good vintage – blew your socks off 🍷 🧦😃

It’s the season. Very few fresh wild flowers remain now. But berries, nuts, berries, fruits and husks proliferate. And as they fade, so the next season comes along. Fungi!

These are gorgeous and look good enough to eat! Did you know the Girl Scouts sell a shortbread cookie called Trefoil? It’s one of my faves and perfect with tea, but sometimes I just gotta have a decadent Samoa!

Just been eating blackberries myself this morning. They’re considered an invasive species in much of the U.S., but their fruit redeems them (somewhat).
