My pleasure, Frank. Everyone loves Amanita, but very few people are blessed with being there at its birth.
There is a theory, to which I subscribe, that Amanita (fly agaric) was the symbolic body of Mithras and the *eucharist* of his cult. Dig deep enough through my archives & you’ll find an article I wrote on this subject
