Same here. We see fewer butterflies and bees here.

Not seen fewer bees, at least not in my garden. But butterflies…though the past few days they’ve returned in number

That’s good! We have frequent sprays for dengue mosquitoes and I’m sure that that’s the reason for fewer butterflies and bees 🐝

If you spray one insect you’ll likely include the others, intended or not

Very true. It a conundrum and it’s costing us a lot in lives of beneficial insects.

Yes. I’m all in favour of leaving nature alone. I’m fortunate to live in an area where most of the farmers do it the ‘old way’, and leave wide field edges to encourage the kinds of insects that prey on pests!

The summer hasn’t been kind to them. Though I have had a Hummingbird Hawk Moth visiting my garden. Amazing creature

Beautiful photos, Crispina. Always love seeing the butterflies and dragonflies. We’ve had loads round our way this summer. And whenever I see two butterflies dancing together, I can’t but help stop and watch them until they fly away 🦋
