April 22nd. The day arrives for our annual return to our childhood home, to the woods where I played Robin Hood and Sir Ivanhoe, where I learned the names of wild flowers. And from the woods a walk along Marriotts Way into Norwich for the bus back to Great Yarmouth on the North Sea coast.
Please, put on your hikers and come along with me.

Of course there were flowers seen along the way. I’ll be showing you a selection on Tuesday.
Beautiful walk. So peaceful. Thank you, I enjoyed that!

It is a beautiful place. Why did I ever leave? Oh yes, so I could enjoy the return at least once a year

We have two paddle boards. It’s too cold just now to take them out, but can’t wait to do so. Inflating them is a pain, and they’re heavy as you carry them in a backpack, but once you’re out on the water, it’s so worth it.

Brilliant. It’s only this past year with covid restrictions that this has become so popular on this river. Great to see the youngsters enjoying themselves
