As promised, some touches of colour from our misty walk…
The huge downy leaves of the Tree Mallow
And a late bloom from the Common Mallow
Hogweed, always a reliable late bloomer… in both white and pink forms
And strung in the hedges hops and bryony
Ivy, a delight to see
Oh, but what is this? They’re the seeds of the Tree Mallow
Is it a photo of bracken, or of the dead-nettles? Maybe it’s just a picture of raindrops on grass?
The autumnal leaves of the dogrose. The lane was lined with them, promising a beautiful walk come next June
And sloe… so late in the year to be holding its berries
We’ve marked a repeat of this walk for next spring/early summer
Definitely a treat! Wonderful images, Crispina.

Thank you, Dale. I hope to be able to keep this up, though we’re now entering the season when I’m not out so much. It might be all skyscapes for a while.

Maybe this season, since you are feeling so fabulous, you will venture out a bit more than expected.

It’s not the venturing out. It’s the finding suitable subjects once I’m out. The world in decay! The hunt for new life. Oh yes, I shall be out as much as weather allows

Yes, I get that. I go out, doing the same loop-de-loop with the dog hoping I’ll see something different… Happens, but, let’s just say there ain’t much.

Yea. Well, I’ve just uploaded Sunday’s & Tuesday’s photos. And I’ve left enough behind to cover next week if needed. No choice really. The post would have been far too long if I’d included them all

Are sloe berries edible? I’d be seriously surprised if those bryony ones were!

Bryony is poisonous. But sloe berries are added to gin to make sloe gin. Don’t know what else you’d do with them. They’re very bitter

Well, maybe if you’re hungry enough… 🙂

I don’t think so… medicinal only, I think
