Several churches in this all-but forgotten triangle of SE Norfolk are graced with this sunrise carving above the south door, but this church is no longer used for services. It’s kept open for interested persons to visit

The signpost offers a choice. We will end up at Ashby St Mary, but we’re not taking the direct route…

Spring! Come summer that green can be a bit heavy. Then we look for autumn colours to relieve it 🙂

I confess, May hasn’t been kind to us. It seems every time we schedule a walk, it rains! And then I had flu. And now I have a painful back. But we endure and we celebrate the good walks. This was a good walk!!!!

Hellington we’ve done before but on the way deeper into the valley, but this time we veered off onto a new (to us) route. And it was delightful. Really enjoyed it
