Zeus… Lusting

Zeus lusting for the noble nymph Danae
Gathered his clouds to screen his desires
Called on Hephaistos to stoke up the fires
Called for Ares to sharpen his weapons

∼His startling hard-thrusting lightning
∼His ear-cracking thunderous bolt
∼His chariot’s horses with hoofs hard pounding

Then hand-fisted his sword while thinking of squeezing and easing into tight-fitting sheaths.

He sought out Poseidon to deal for the sultry seas to surrender their moist laden steam
Then consulted with ancient alchemists
To downpour on the nymph in a shower of gold
