A walk beside Flixton Marshes in Suffolk, the butterflies danced around us like demented fairies, the flowers unveiled their faces… and the sun bore down on us.

I just loved all the yellows, and the sharp contrasts. It really shows the sun

I’m a writer, first and foremost. Photography is my relaxation. And an excuse to get out for a good long walk.

You certainly are, and I believe the pen is a very loyal friend of yours. I like photography too, a way to explore nature.

The gods of serendipity are the best when they show up, aren’t they? š

Indeed. I do find they often tag along when I take the camera for a walk. Could it be, these little godlets might have an attraction for cameras?

That may indeed be the case…. or maybe, just maybe the holder of the camera is the one who calls them…

The yellows are great. But for me it was the stark shadows of the burdock stalks and the leaves

I’ll chime in with the others — great colors in this one, with the yellow of the flower matching the butterfly, and the sun giving yellow highlights to the stems and leaves.
