Kezlia hadn’t been a performer but a behind-the-scenes organiser. Until someone slapped the mic in her hand. Now she took a deep breath… they weren’t there to see her.
‘Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Annual Amateur Finals of the Dark Art of Pancake Threading.’
She waited. And enjoyed the applause.

I like how you say so many things with a few words. Being under the limelight can be challenging but great as well. I have never been good at it, but doesn’t matter 🙂

I remember my first time. Talk about tense. Then I did my bit. And ended with a humorous quip … because that’s me … and the audience laughed, and that was me hooked. Though I’m not a performer, I am able when it’s needed.

That is really cool. I have stage fright and that is having a toll on my self confidence. I have got to do something about it😅

Depends on the situation, what you might do. But you might watch/listen to interviews of performers. You’ll find almost all have stage fright in some form. It’s take a deep breath .. and do it. But it’s definitely easier if you, as with writing, you know what you’re doing.
