Common Puffball: Photo 11th October 2017

The awfully common Common Puffball in a form less often seen. Young, newborn. It loses its spines as it ages. (I’m sure that reminds me of someone.)

    Age has a way of bending or in some cases removing the spine all together.. Nice photo too Crispina…

    Like a penguin loses its fluff, so does the ‘shroom. Funny how many things in nature have similar growth patterns, so to speak.

      I thank you, Sammi. It’s great that they get exposure. Though I’ve a whole load of fungi pics that aren’t of sufficient quality to post. I keep them more for my own reference. “Oh yes, I saw one of those … when was it, and where?” 🙂
