Being a review of (almost) one year of #2018picoftheweek challenge …
FYI, the challenge, set by Maria at ofmariaantonia (originally just for herself but she allowed me to join in) was simple: every Saturday to post a photo to match a Title chosen from a list provided at the start of the year.
I came late to the #2018picoftheweek challenge; it was already February. But that still yields 48 photos. Too many to include in this post. So I’ve picked my favourites. The full set can be seen here: 2018 A Year of Photos
Sounds simple, doesn’t it. But I soon discovered a snag: which Titles to use early in the year, and which to hold back for later. Towards the end of the year I was sweating on it, my bruised ankles testimony to my several wrong choices.
The all-new, shiny, unused list of Titles are now available for the #2019picoftheweek. For details, contact Of Maria Antonia I’m sure she’ll let you join in.
Nice selection!

It was a difficult choice. As I say in the post, the full set can be seen by following the link.
It’s my way of offering a review of the year.

What a truly stunning selection of pics, Crispina. Some I’ve seen but some I must have missed. Just love them all for different reasons – the clarity of those catkins, that water and the purity of that grass. Just gorgeous.

You didn’t start the follow until we met at Camp NaNoWriMo, in April. So, you wouldn’t have seen the earlier photos. (I assume you followed the link to the full collection?)
I’ve had a spate of new followers over the past month or so, hence I thought it a good idea to gather the photos all togther …. Lo. 48. Gosh.

Well done on the spate of followers – word is spreading! I could write a flash about any of your pics – many have a sense of mystery about them, of leading us somewhere, that lends itself to fiction

Yea, and now I have to be careful that I don’t use the pic challenge photos for Crimson’s Creative Challenge. I can see some muddle-headed days lay ahead. 🙂

As I say, they have a good level of ambiguity and mystery which leads the mind to wander and wonder.

Great job choosing the “best of” — I know how hard that can be. That first shot of the pussy willows (or something similar?) with the rain drops is just amazing!

It is amongst my all time favourites. But it’s not rain. It’s an overnight frost beginning to thaw. That’s why I chose it to symbolise Spring.
Happy you like. Follow the link (2018 A Year in Photos) for the entire collection. — some are not so good as these.)

A beautiful selection of photos, Crispina. You always manage to capture amazing colours in your photos. I’ve just checked out the list of prompts for 2019 and I’m minded to try and join in…

Please do. I’m an click-fanatic, so I hardly need reason to take more photos. But I have found, both with this challenge and with CCC, it encourages me to look for … something different. Can’t take shots of flowers and fungi all the time. 🙂
