Humidity swamps
Tempers fray
Horns blast
Renting the day
That voice at the back of my head
Sits upon my shoulder instead
Calm it, Lady, it says
Kick off now, crash and kill
Eternity to experience the fires of hell
40 words written for Sammi’s Weekend Writing Prompt: Eternity

I can so relate to this one – great take 😃

Thank you. I don’t drive, but I do know how the heat loosens the reins on our tempers!

Whether it’d as road rage, or shoppers rage, or domestics, the heat does affect us

Last weekend, My Beloved Sandra and I travelled down out of our can’t-even-see-our-neighbor’s mountains into the traffic-jammed six-hours-away overcrowded metropolis … Ick… Never so glad to make it back here…

I don’t drive. I seldom travel in a car (I walk and bus everywhere) and yet I’m very much aware of how the recent weather has heated our tempers and cut short our patience
