Like the title says, photographs of the ‘smaller stuff’, as seen during our walk on 11th May 2026. Enjoy…
๐ผ A couple of rather noisy sheep! Bah…Bah…
From the large to the small ๐ผ Love the flowers on the Horse Chestnut tree
๐ผ Love the Field Scabious, and we’re seeing them in plenty this yearย ๐ฝ Scabious again, not yet in full bloom, paying court to the Ox-Eye Daisy
Now for the weeny ones ๐ผ Forget Me Notย ๐ฝ Speedwell, circling with the ivy as if to weave a crown
Flowers of damp places and shady lanes ๐ผ Bugle ๐ฝ Cowslip
Lovers of bright places ๐ผ Black Medic andย ๐ฝ Lesser Stitchwort
Saved these till last ๐ผ Honeysuckleย ๐ฝ Gatekeeper. The only butterfly we saw that very windy, sunless day
Hope you enjoyed! More next week

Lovely! The Horse Chestnut is gorgeous!

Best photographed on a dull day, otherwise the white becomes a featureless splodge. Needs polarised lens which I keep putting off buying

The flowers that most people ignore or just don’t see. Those are the ones I love best!
