CCC078: Exposed to Life’s Merciless Sway

She was sure she’d be safe
From life’s evil strafe
How could she not be
Resilient as a forest tree
With roots that dug deep
Her balance she’d keep
Strong and tall
She’d never fall
Let the world do its worst
She’d not be coerced
But along came the rain
Again and again
And drip by drip
Loosening the grip
Washing her foundation away
Exposed to life’s merciless sway

I feel very much like this lately. Like my very foundation has washed away and my exposed roots are at fear of failing…..

And the foundation may have fallen somewhat, but yet, she holds on. I get her.
