A non-structured selection of photos taken during our visit to Lowestoft and Pakefield on 27th August 2025. Enjoy
Even the gulls are at rest, enjoying the sun πΌ
The sun is strong! πΌπ½
Pakefield Beach: Marram Grass πΌπ½ and ‘Beach’ Roses (Rosa rugosa?)
Those birds (sparrows) such a quarrelsome lot π½
More beach flora: Tree Lupin πΌπ½ Sea Pea and β¬ Horned Poppy
I wonder how long this winch has rested here, and when it was last used? π½
The incoming tide brought a strong wind that defeated the gulls and held them stationary when all they wanted was to get out to sea πΌπ½
That’s all for now. Hope you enjoyed. Alas, no butterflies, so no Friday Fliers this week π₯

Thank you. I was disappointed with the scarcity of beach flowers this year (a very dry summer) but the boats and the beach huts made up for that

Oh yes, the beach would be more than fine, for me!
