Butterflies from our walk on 8th July 2025, Part 1. Enjoy
πΌπ½ Ringlet, our first this year. And then there were loads!
Large skipper π½ the only one to allow a photograph
Two very similar: Meadow brown πΌπ½ and gatekeeper
Whites are everywhere, but here we have a green-veined white π½ which isn’t quite so common. It frequents damp places
Two grandees: Red admiral which has a liking for stones and concrete! πΌπ½ and Peacock

These are so beautiful.

So wonderful to see Crisp, β¦ it just shows you, β¦ we see hardly any, other than the small white and the small brown and yellow, β¦ those captures are fantastic, β¦ it gives your heart a boost just to look at them, β¦π

I would be surprised if there is no variety where you live. We have to train our minds (more than our eyes) to see them. They do move very fast and are clever at hiding in plain sight β£οΈβ£οΈβ£οΈβ£οΈ
