Every year since I was a wee one I have visited either one or both of the bluebell woods that grace our home village, even though now I live 30 miles away and it takes two buses and an hour and a half to reach them. But I can’t not go. Such memories are made of this

I lived opposite this woods before I moved to the coast. So do miss the entire environment but especially when the bluebells bloom

The only time I have experienced Bluebells was during the scant time I spent living in Dallas. They just took over all unoccupied spaces and were sooo beautiful. I can imagine if I have one memory of them, yours are worth a thousand words..

Mostly our bluebells are only fou d in woodland. Or where once was woodland. And they are much more delicate and fragile than the more widespread Spanish variety. And their scent… truly divine

I think it’s wonderful to have something in your life that continues to mean so much to you. I’m looking out at the clusters of bluebells in the garden where I work as we speak. They are just so lovely…

I have garden bluebells too. But they’re not the same as our true woodland bluebells. They’re a symbol of my childhood. You could say of childhood innocence. I would walk home from school through the woods, with clouds of these beautiful flowers all around me
