Wake you up before the dawn
Before your own folks start to yawn
And down to the meadow you must skip
Your muddy toes you’ll need to dip
In that meadow-spring’s fresh flow
Your face then splashed and all aglow
This, fair lass, I promise you
You’ll see the one who loves you
