A selection of additional photos from our visit to Wells-next-the-Sea in September 2023. Enjoy. We did!
As I mentioned in Sunday Picture Post, Wells is all about boats. And you know how I love boats. But there are birds too, burrowing their bills into the mud at low tide…
And of course, flowers
Backing the beach with its colourful huts, pines
Oh yes, and fungi too! Can we ever escape them?
This was my favourite boat of the day
Meanwhile, back at the harbour…
My second favourite thing: harbour accoutrements
That’s all for this week. I hope to have 2025 photos for you next week

Lovely. I especially love the tangled ropes saving for future inspiration. I’m pretty sure the fishermen (or whomever it is that intends to use them) don’t see them as tangled, but I do.

It’s a beach hut, rented for the day or week. Somewhere to leave your valuables, and bits and bobs, somewhere to make a cup of tea and shelter from the wind and rain that sometimes arrives all unexpected

Your photographs always amaze me. They remind me of PEI in Canada where my cousins live. Particularly, lobster fishing many years ago.

Norfolk is rich in such small coastal towns, and all of them have fisherman to some degree

Thank you, Frank. I love visiting Wells, though mostly for the boats. Love boats, which is rather good with where I live!

There’s nothing like a seaside town to give such a variety of picturesque subjects!

I love the coast. But I also love inland. Yet, tis true, towns are nicer on the coast than they are inland. In my heavily biased opinion
