More of the photos from our Walk In The Sun (Sunday Picture Post 15th Dec). Enjoy…
Above: I’m amazed, the tansy is still in flower giving us gold, the theme of the day! Below: Golden oak leaves
Above: The wonderfully robust hogweed, another wild plant still in bloom. Below: Apples turn to gold in the sun
Above: Rose hips. Below: Spindle
Above: Hawthorn foliage amaze me with the colours that show at this season. Below: This is hogweed again, but the special pink/purple form that’s a specialty of our county
Below: Ivy, needs no name tag, shining in the golden sun
Did I say there had been a sharp overnight frost?
And the last pic of the day, a wild red-currant leaf turned gold. Perfect
I do hope you enjoyed the golden selection

Great pictures!

Thank you. It helps when the light is right. Alas, UK, so it’s never a guarantee

Makes so much difference when the sun shines from that autumnal angle. 🙂

These are beautiful. I kept changing my favorite as I scrolled down. So now I am a fan of hogweed, but my favorite photo is the first frost one. Or the second frost one.

I’m a great fan of hogweed. It’s so easy to ignore cos it’s big and rough, a rugby player of a plant rather than a ballet dancer. But the flowers are intricate and delicate, and the plant is so resilient. I guess that’s why it’s name.
