25th October 2024 the morning begins misty but with promise of sun. So hop upon bus into Norwich, and another bus out. We’re heading first to Costessey Ponds, then along Marriott’s Way to Drayton (but that latter’s for next week’s post). So, let’s go!
A swift walk along a residential road, we then join a stretch of Marriott’s Way. The mist, much in evidence on our journey, still is holding in Wensum Valley
We’re hoping for autumnal colour, but it comes so late to our part of the world…and then the leaves fall
To right and left of the bridge over the Tud, a tributary of the Wensum
Around the ponds the mist again is thick…
That mist softens what might otherwise have been brilliant autumn colours…
There are several ponds, former gravel-diggings. This is one of the smaller ones, inaccessible last year due to extensive flooding of the area
That’s all for now, folks. We’ll resume our walk next week. Check out Tuesday Treats for more photos from this walk π

These pictures represent a beautiful walk.
