27th February 2024, after yet more rain, where to walk? Let’s keep away from muddy fields and farm tracks. Good idea. Let’s walk some lanes south of the (county) border. We’re headed to Lound Lakes Nature Reserve. Please join us…
First there’s the woodland. Later it will be sweet with bluebells but as yet it’s snowdrops, and they’re almost over
Out of the woods and along a lane; can’t resist at least one pylon shot…
I’d prefer there was sun this day, but at least the clouds hold onto their water!
Lanes offer dry footing. With the way this winter has been, that’s a blessing. So we’ll accept the lack of sunlight…
And into the nature reserve where the golden gorse gladdens the soul…
My most favourite birch tree, and a bridge to take us over the lake…
The ducks are in hiding, but the daffodils aren’t…
Nor the snowdrops…
Back to the lane to catch the bus home
Hope you enjoyed. For next week’s walk we have bright sun. Oh yay! Join us then…

Iβm glad you got some good weather. Lovely shots. Thanks for sharing

Thanks for liking, Sadje, and commenting. Looking at those photos now, they look so overcast. But that’s the weather we’ve been having

I enjoyed this Sunday walk, and didn’t mind the overcast. At least the rain held off.

Thank you. At least with it being overcast the colours aren’t lost in glare!

Peacefully quiet … a place for our thoughts.

Another of your comments I’ve had to rescue from the spam folder. Years go by without an error, then along they come like a train. π π π

This is so true, Crispina. I used to get about 25 SPAM messages. For the past few months, I haven’t gotten any. UGH!!! Glitches in media will probably only get worse. It’s the new normal. I’m happy you found them. Happy Easter π£
