An inviting landscape in spite of the drenching. I especially like that shot of the daffodils. Here we’re in deep white, so it’s nice to see signs of spring elsewhere.

This is clay soil, it just doesn’t drain. It was already saturated when we visited back in November last year. Then with all the rain we’ve had since… not a chance. But the crops yield and the flowers bloom

There were lots of detours. But it was tiring, fighting the mud, trying to stay upright. But worth it!

I’m thinking of investing in waders! My hikers are waterproof, but all that mud clings to the soles and I end up 6″ taller!

It was worth it. However, this Tuesday past our walk was thoroughly rained upon. We continued, hoping the torrenching would at least ease up. But no. And so that’s one walk I shan’t be putting on here!
