What sort of guide
A man who lied
He could’ve led us into danger
He wasn’t even a proper ranger
He’d the badge, for sure
But partly covered, kept obscure
What’s more, he was rather mature
No, the man clearly lied
He wasn’t a guide

That is such a real fear… to be led by a dishonest person! Nicely done.

Guide. Lied. It just followed. I could have suggested we might have died, but I didn’t want to go that extreme! 🙂

Crispina,
Your poem is a witty take on the dubious guide! The clever wordplay on a man who lied, the misleading badge, and the humor in calling him a “not-so-proper ranger” make it a delightful read. Nicely done!
