CCC268: The Fairies Debate

“Pretty,” Avlyn eventually decided, having stared for a very long time at the scene set before her.

“You don’t like it.” Being poetically inclined, Dervyle picked up on such things.

“It’s misappropriation, we’re not Christians,” Avlyn said in justification. “They bad-mouthed us and banished us two millennia past. Remember?”

“Isn’t it time we let that go? Besides, the golden tree is the larch, and that always belonged to us. As to the stars, aren’t they our homeland? I’ve used nothing in this scene that doesn’t belong to us. It is they who have misappropriated.”

Yay! To the fairies, I say. Written with no intent to offend.
