Here I set this quest
To refresh your thoughts
For life itself, to renew your zest
This thing you seek
It doesn’t reek
It smells quite sweet
Rich
Earthy
Like maturing oak
Like leaves well soaked
But you’ll need a hound
For what’s to be found
If you search
Beneath a birch
52 words written for Sammi’s Weekend Writing Prompt: Search
In truth, I don’t know if these are found beneath birch. Can you guess what it is?

A beautiful poem Crispina

Thank you, Sadje. Could you figure out what the “treasure” is? It’s rare, hard to find, and sells for extremely high price

I’m afraid not, unless it’s that rare mushroom?

It’s a truffle

Thought so but the name refused to come to my mind.

I had been reading a study of the truffle!

I’m curious how come you almost never use your own photos for these challenges?
Regardless, well done!

Sometimes I do. But I’m working against time & pixabay is easier to search than my endless folders!

I’m teasing you, of course.

But you have a point. And on this one at least I did think I ought to find one of my own photos to use. But kid you not, finding them…? Shish!

Once upon a time, all my photos were uploaded into my Google photos. Now, the ones taken with my phone are. Which is a great way to find something as I just type in criterea and boom!

Mine are filed by date and place. That’s it!

Same for my camera photos. Trying to get a bit more organised within the dates!

I don’t do much on the phone camera, so they tend to stay there until I delete them

My phone takes ridiculously good pictures that sometimes I just leave the camera behind.

I can’t say I don’t mind not using the big one sometimes…

I’m happy to use the phone, but only for long shots

I am blown away by the quality of the images I’e been getting with this new phone. Mind you, yesterday, I was trying to capture the chicadees feeding off Marc’s had and I had trouble. The camera, however, I can put it on motion and get multiple shots.

I am disappointed in the quality of my phone-camera. Previous was much better

I understand. I’m amazed by mine. Half the time, I don’t even bother lugging the big one around anymore.

Latest update on phone, it says, Try the new improved camera. So I did. And it is better than it was
