8th June, after 2 separate buses we reach the Norfolk village of Brooke, and pick up a footpath on its outskirts. Please, do come along with us.
The path leads us across arable fields, the crops beautiful in their shades of green
Making hay while the sun shines! Smells divine
We see Howe church in the distance, but today we’re not visiting
Perfection…in my opinion
And poppies where poppies belong!
Our walk close to the end, heading back to habitation, and 2 buses home
And yes, our eyes are not deceiving us. This is a field of ox-eyed daisies!
That’s all for now folks. We saw loads of flowers, difficult to choose which ones to show you on Tuesday. Best to join me and find out!
Hope you enjoyed

England at its finest

Yes. And it was a very pleasant day, weather-wise. Thoroughly enjoyed!

A verdant green place. Beautiful share.

Thank you, Sadje. Our countryside is wonderfully green at the moment, though the wheat and barley are now golden, and being cut

Thank you, Deborah. Always so difficult to decide which photos to use. I tend to return from a walk with about 200 shots!

Isn’t it so very English to describe something as ‘pleasant’? The American reaction would be ‘Awesome!!!’ and the Australian, “Yeah, pretty fucken good,” but the English see no need for hyperbole and William Blake, whilst clearly in awe, saw no reason to overstate things here or resort to the vulgarities of the colonies.
That said, of course, I thought the photos really were pretty fucken good.

Thank you. That’s just made me chuckle. Obviously, I was thinking of Blake when I wrote the title 👌😊😎

Always my pleasure. It’s no fun taking photos to then hide them away! 😊😎

Wonderful, green, fresh!

Putting poppies where poppies belong! It was a beautiful walk (despite I blundered over at the start and was suffering bruised ribs)

I think that’s what started the arthritis so bad in my neck. BTW, that’s much better now

That sucks. Lately I am sore all over. I have to find a different podiatrist. Hopefully new orthotics – that I can wear with all my shoes and sandals will help my foot problem, which causes back issues and up to the neck.
