Tired
Doris slumped down on the sofa
Coat still worn
Shoes kicked off
Tired
Too tired even to yawn
Yet she yawned the same
Tired
And she’d still the supper to cook
Had she no microwave meals?
She was too tired to look
Tired
Ever since she retired.

Poor Doris. Some people overdue it since they retired…
Why, pray tell, do people insist on taking pictures of their gawd-awful feet?

I had more trouble finding a suitable image, than I did in writing. I wanted an elderly woman slumped on a sofa. No, only nubile nudes!

Sometimes I do wonder how I managed to work, write, walk, take photos, and have a social life etc etc etc

Oh yes, I will not disagree. But such a shame that as soon as your retire age starts kicking at you! Though I refuse to succumb
