Now my pen’s put away
Used only for cards
At Christmas
For weddings
And birthdays
Replaced by DMs
And tweets
Less to say.

  2. I still have half a dozen penpals, started writing decades ago. As you say, this is something to be thankful for in our age. Some even still handwrite their news. 🙂

    I remember my grandmother getting letters from Scotland. They were on very thin blue paper to keep the charges down on airmail.
