We continue our frosty walk on 14th December. We began at Thorpe Marriot with a woodland and a frozen pond, and we walked along Marriott’s Way, beside the River Wensum, to Costessey…where there’s more woodland and more frozen ponds. Enjoy
On the banks of the Wensum…
And the smaller River Tud…
Entering another frozen wonderland…
And so to the ponds… no ducks today!
And so back to the River Tud
If you notice I’ve a certain affection for this place, you’d be right. Ever the places of our child days hold us tight
Hope you enjoyed. More photos from another walk next week
Lovely photos.

That bridge photo would make a wonderful prompt 😊

I have used that bridge, though not this shot, in the first year of these prompts. It’s one of my favourite subjects

There is something special about coming back to an older post. I have to say, of all your walks, this one is my favourite. It is so beautiful how the colours are not dimmed at all by the frost, but enhanced. Gorgeous lot.

Thank you, Dale. It was magical. That sun, the freezing mist, the colours holding on after autumn. It was also slippery underfoot!!!

True, true… I walked for 2 hours in the snowfall yesterday. I was soaked by the time I got home.

Monday I returned home sodden…caught in the freezing rain

Oh gosh, that is so not fun! Especially freezing rain. Summer rain is rather lovely, though 😉

Looks like it’ll repeat tomorrow… if forecasters have it right. But to call off cos of the forecast, and then it doesn’t happen, is just too disappointing

That’s just silly. Especially since the forecasters so often have it wrong!

I’m not chancing heavy rain & thunderstorms when I don’t need to

I don’t blame you. Especially at this time of year, there is no joy in it.

Spring. Summer. Reliable weather. OK, it is an established fact that I live in fantasy land
