     They are the *flowers* of the hazel tree. We call them catkins. When covered in pollen they’re like dripping gold. First colour of spring!

       It is snowing steadily here. I shovelled a good five inches this morning and it hardly shows… Sigh…

       We have possible snow forecast for Monday. Which is a pain cos we’d intended to bus up to North Norfolk coast. Not sure of that now. Could make good photos.

       Oooh… I realise it is a pain to trudge through the snow – We must have gotten a good 8-10 inches in the Thursday to Friday last night time frame. They make excellent photos 😉

       Snow didn’t happen. I didn’t go walkies, I haven’t been well. A bug? Side effects of meds? I don’t know.

     These are hazel catkins. But willows, poplars & birch all set their different types of catkins. I love th catkins of black polar: They are richly crimson, so vivid!
