His Lemon-Coloured Vest

Beau Jest
Was the best
In his lemon-coloured vest
Improperly dressed
Was his admission
Without that tickety-boo addition
Didn’t matter his crimson spats
That protected his shoes from sharp-clawed cats
Nor his colourful cravats
Without his vest
Life had no zest
